Bob Geldof was invited for a conference about Sustainable Development – Making the Difference here in Portugal. This invitation was sponsored by a Bank the BES and The Expresso - newspaper.
The news (not the whole media at this moment) only refers about a part of his speech that concerns Angola. He said that this country is ruled by criminals (which is true) and that the best houses are been built at Luanda Bay, they are more expensive than the houses of Chelsea or Park Lane.
The representant of the Angola Embassy leave the room and the Bank says that Bob he’s the only responsible for that statement.
He put the finger in a very “bloody hound” and now everyone are running away for their responsibilities…
He still makes the difference in this world by catching up attention for a country like Angola where are thousands of people dying not only of hungry, not only aids, not only for non medical attention, but they are dying because there’s a part of the society that only cares about fancy parties, cars and luxurious life. And José Eduardo dos Santos, the president, he’s one of them.
Hope you can tell Bob that he is my hero for the day and I hope that God keeps blessing his thoughts cause he has the guts to tell the truth that others are trying to hide!
I send this message to a fellow. Hope he did sent this message to Bob
